PBT is milky white translucent to opaque, crystalline thermoplastic polyester. It has high heat resistance, toughness, fatigue resistance, self-lubrication, low friction coefficient, weather resistance, low water absorption, only 0.1 %, and maintains a variety of physical properties(including electrical properties) in a humid environment. Electric insulation, but the dielectric loss is large. Resistance to hot water, alkaloids, acids, oils, but vulnerable to halogenated hydrocarbons erosion, poor hydrolysis resistance, rapid crystallization at low temperatures, good shape.
